What a fantastic day was had with claire and Sam on their big day. After a lovely Service in Belfast, it was off to Stormont for some photographs before heading to their reception at Park Avenue Hotel. Their room was amazing, such a Fairytale setup. As you can see from the photos, her bridesmaids matched our logo colour and during the Bestmans speech, the rest of the guys managed to sneak on ear muffs to drown out his speech. it wasn't that bad! lol.

Weddings weddings everywhere… and we love it. Some really beautiful and fun weddings this weekend in Donegal, Galgorm Castle and the outstanding Wild Duck Inn and it's always great to see some old favourites in action and on friday night at Jacksons Hotel in ballybofey we got to see Rod and Brendan from that awesome wedding band Juice. It's been a while since we bumped in to them, but they were rocking the place as always! You can check these guys out on their website www.juiceweddingband.com. Now to get the cameras packed up again for tomorrows wedding at the fantastic Larchfield Estate. When i get a minute i will upload some photos and videos, so keep an eye out for updates

Here is a lovely sunny pre wedding shoot to brighten up a gloomy wet wednesday. (what happened to the weather?!) It was off to Oxford Island with Hannah and Greg and what an evening it was. Although it was packed with people sunning and BBQing (and even a guy dive bombing off the pier) we managed to find a few quiet spots to get some beautiful images. can't wait until their big day at the Slieve Donnard, hopefully the summer weather will return for it and we can get down on to the beach
June 22nd 2014
Could yesterdays wedding have been any more awesome?! Aviators, a beach, the sun, the Mourne Mountains and a very cool couple! Just had to share this image from Clara and Aidens big day. more to come from their big day soon
June 10th 2014
This was one of those WOW weddings from beginning to end. We drove 2 hours in the rain to get to Lusty Beg Island, but when we got there, the rain stopped and the sun even made an appearance! Lusty Beg is a fantastic spot, made even better by the fact that Wendy and Paul had their boat parked up and we got out for a spin around Lough Erne! From the guys and girls getting ready in the log cabins to the service, right through to the dancing, it was the perfect day spent in the company of fantastic people.

Well just back from spending the afternoon with some very talented people at the Wedding Journal reader awards at Malone Lodge Hotel and I am pleased to say that Digital Bride were winners in the videographers of the year category and voted top 5 in the photographer of the year category!! thank you to everyone who took the time to vote for us, it makes our jobs even better if that's possible when we get recognition like this! Now it's time to get ready to head off to my PPANI meeting where I get to spend the rest of the day with even more talented people congratulations to all the winners today, and here's a video of one of our recent weddings to show you just why we won
June 6th 2014
Such a fantastic day was had with the super relaxed Paula & Chris on their special day. After a beautiful Service (where Chris tried to rip Paulas head off by standing on her veil several times) it was off to Castlewellan forest for some shots. As you can see the weather was outstanding and i tried to keep them in the shade as much as possible so that they didn't get roasted, before we headed off to their reception at the fantastic Millbrook Lodge for dinner and dancing
June 5th 2014
What a fantastic day was had with Linda and Scott at La Mon Hotel & Country Club. After a lovely Service it was off out in to the rather windy gardens where the girls wanted to strike the pose from the cover of the film 'Bridesmaids' and who am I to refuse them. After linda's veil decided it would rather fly free in the wind, we headed indoors to get some shots and as night fell we managed to pop outside again to get some shots of the fantastic building lit up
May 14th 2014
What a perfect day was had at Mairead and Fergal's wedding. We started off at the Bridal preparations where Mairead and the girls showed off their early morning singing skills (look out for the MARRYOKE) and then after a lovely Service it was off to Sion Mills river for some shots before heading to their reception at Jacksons Hotel in Ballybofey, Co. Donegal where the party continued and all their guests got involved in their MARRYOKE
May 13th 2014
It was off to Antrim Castle Gardens for Aisha and Stephen's pre wedding shoot. Aisha was a bit unsure about being able to pose for the shoot, but as you can see her and Stephen were both natural posers This is the good thing about your pre wedding shoot. It gets you used to me pointing a camera at you and you will feel a lot more relaxed on your actual wedding day. Really looking forward to capturing their special day.

Last night at the Dunsilly Hotel, our director of Photography, William Bittles, after almost a year of being a probationary member, became a fully qualified Liceniate member of the Professional Photographers Association of Northern Ireland (PPANI) William was judged on a panel of 20 images (10 from one wedding and 10 from various weddings) to gain his liceniate.
The PPANI was founded in 1966 and from then the Association has progressed from strength to strength, holding conferences and seminars. The result being they offer the public some of the highest standards of work in The United Kingdom which has a strict Code of Ethics that is rigidly enforced to ensure the consumer is not only hiring a talented photographer, but also one with impeccable business practices and who are are fully insured for Public Liability and Professional Indemnity, giving you peace of mind and something less to worry about on your special day.
William is also a member of the UK wide Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers (SWPP)
Below are the panels on which he was judged

I'm sure by now you have all seen the video this past few weeks that went viral, was featured on the news and had a write up in several newspapers of all the guys doing Lord of the dance at a wedding. Well that wedding was Mairead and Rob's and we at Digital Bride had the pleasure of capturing their special day for them What a fantastic day it was, from the Bridal preparations right up to the evening dances, Mairead & Rob just enjoyed every second of their big day. After a really cold, wet, rainy start to the day, the sun came out straight after the service and it was off to Lady Dixons for a few shots before heading to their reception in the Ramada Plaza Belfast. Adam's Best Man speech was one of the best i have witnessed (though scroll down this page to set the series of shots of him before he made his speech. worried much?! lol) a fantastic fun day which was made even more special by those toe tapping guys
April 17th 2014
It was a fantastic day at Crawfordsburn beach and country park for Claire and Sam's pre wedding shoot. Dodging the BBQs and family outings we managed to get some great shots from the day. Fingers crossed the sun shines like that on their big day :)
April 16th 2014
Here's a photo of our director of photography, William, from Saturdays wedding. Sometimes he gest a wee bit tired on the job and has to have a little lie down. Well he had been at a wedding in Donegal the day before and didn't get home till late! lol photo of the master in action taken by the disco king, Gaz Entertainment!
April 10th 2014

People often forget the pressure the Bestman is under on the big day and here is a series of images of Adam the Bestman at Mairead & Rob's big day showing the tension before he has to get up to make his speech No Pressure lol
March 28th 2014
It rained all the way there and it rained all the way home, but the short time we spent at Sion Mills river with Mairead & Fergal for their pre wedding shoot, the rain stopped and the sun came out! That's what happens when you book Digital Bride, we have a special 'rain off' switch! lol ;) It's a beautiful location for photographs with some really interesting little walkways and a swing bridge where the river was flowing full speed underneath! But that didn't stop these 2 being fun and up for it and they certainly know how to strike a pose! Can't wait for their big day :)
March 26th 2014
It was off to Custom House Square for Linda and Scott's pre wedding shoot. They had hoped that it would be lit up from 6.30pm, but 6.30 came and went and as it got darker and colder, we decided that the lights wouldn't come on till 7pm, so I marched them around various locations such as the big fish, McHughs, the Albert Clock, an underground walkway, just to keep them warm and get some shots incase the Custom House lights didn't appear! But just after 7 they lit up, so it was a quick couple of shots before the froze and then home to heat up. Great fun couple, really looking forward to their big day
March 25th 2014
Here is a reception montage from Ashleigh and Philip's wedding day at the Culloden Estate and Spa. As you can see from the video Ashleigh & Philip were up for a laugh from the start! A great sunny couple to work with on a great (rare) sunny day.
March 24th 2014
It was off to a Sunny but very windy Titanic Quarter for Cher and James pre wedding shoot. They wanted to make sure that we got the Harland & Wolff cranes in their shots (well James did, Cher not so much lol) so after lots of lovely photos around the Titanic building and area I discovered that they had shifted the cranes because of the oil rig they have in and I couldn't get a good shot of them in the background, so there was only one thing for it, to get as close as we could with no obstructions, which you will see we managed quite well Wee Harvey loved his camera time the wee poser, he will be fun on their big day
March 17th 2014
Never mind Spring being here, I think wedding season has officially sprung! Here is the first of 5 pre wedding shoots for this week.

March 13th 2014
It was off to the Ramada Plaza Belfast for Janice & Jeff's big day. After spending the morning capturing the Grooms preparations, a rather nervous Janice turned up 20 minutes early (a first for any Bride I have met as they are usually late lol) and after a lovely Service in the Hotel (with beautiful room decoration by Sam at Personal Touch Weddings & Events ) it was off for some quick shots around the hotel and we even managed to get one or 2 outside (weather wasn't great). Their day was so fantastic and wonderful, that it was featured in the Belfast Telegraph! (newspaper and website)

Remember I was saying about Film Noir / Old Hollywood Glamour being the next big thing in wedding photography? well here is a perfect example of it with my fantastic Bride & Groom, Julie & Simon. Their wedding fit in to the style so effortlessly, with the guys in dapper black and white Humphrey bogart style suits and black and white spats and Julie and her Maid of Honour looking the epitome of Hollywood Glamour! They travelled from London to get married in Belfast castle, with the wedding party arriving in White Cabs and their guests being transported in a fleet of Black taxis. the rain stopped for Julie arriving and the sun split the trees for one glorious hour which allowed us to get some wonderful shots of a wonderful couple

Such a fantastic day was had at Margaret-Mary and Daniel's big day. After a beautiful Service in Belfast, it was off to the fabulous Galgorm Resort & Spa for their Reception. The Great Hall was the location for their dinner and dancing and a quick scout around the grounds for some photos before we lost the light. But the great thing about winter weddings is that when the natural light begins to go, they switch on their own
e lights and the Galgorms waterfall all lit up is fantastic.
January 16th 2014

Helen and Neil got married at the fantastic Lough Erne resort and Spa in Enniskillen and wanted Digital Bride to create one of our fantastic MARRYOKE videos for them. The song they choose was 'Dirty Bit' and as you can see they and all their guest had so much fun creating the video during the whole day and this is what our lovely Bride Helen had to say about her wedding MARRYOKE... "I love it sooo much!!! best people to work with aswell! Thanks so much for doing such a fantastic job on this!!"
January 13th 2014
A fresh crisp winters morning for Julie and Gordie's big day. After a wonderful Service, it was off to Crawfordsburn Country Park and Beach for a few quick snaps (before everyone froze) before heading round the corner to their reception at the Old Inn, who thankfully, as always, had the home fires blazing
January 8th 2014
A fantastic day for Joanne and Connor with their Service and reception in the beautiful County of Donegal. After a beautiful Service over looking the wonderful views of inishowen, it was a long trip to their reception (well the hotel was about 2 ft away from the Church) at the majestic An Grianan Hotel. The weather wasn't great as you would expect, but the rain wasn't too bad and they braved a few outside shots in the An Grianan's great gardens.
January 18th 2014
Like everything, wedding photographs goes through trends and styles. We have had, modern, quirky, retro, vintage etc etc. Well the next big trend will be Film Noir a.k.a Old Hollywood Glamour and as usual, Digital Bride aren't following trends, we are setting them Here is one of my recent beautiful Brides, Leeanne, shot in that very style. She has just the perfect look for it. Remember where you seen it first folks

So at my last wedding before Christmas, at the Galgorm, when I said I was going home, I was rugby tackled to the ground and had my camera wrestled out of my hand by one of the Bridesmaids, who then managed to fire off about 200 shots in 10 seconds after I was pulled in to a group hug! Who'd be a wedding photographer lol (William)
December 15th 2013
There must have been something in the water lately, because I have had quite a few of my past Brides ask if I do baby bump photoshoots! lol. The answer is yes I do. You can see a sample of bump to baby to little lady here of a past shoot. They can be done at your home, at our studio or on location. You don't have to be a past Bride of mine to have a shoot done. All bumps and babies welcome
December 9th 2013
A perfect day for Leeanne and Liam's special day. After a lovely Service, we had a stop off at Lady Dixons, before heading down the road to the Balmoral Hotel for their reception.

Have had a few people say to me about the new Civil partnership photographers & videographers, 'DIGITAL PRIDE' that have arrived on the scene and how cheeky to use a name and logo very similar to DIGITAL BRIDE. Well there's a reason behind that, it's really us DIGITAL PRIDE is one of our new ventures for 2014. DIGITAL PRIDE is Northern Ireland's only dedicated LGBT civil partnership photography & videography company. Same people, same quality images, slightly different name and logo Here is a look at our latest ad in the current edition of GNI magazine.

People always ask me which was the best wedding I have ever been at. Well I can honestly say that a year ago today I was at the best wedding I have ever been at... My own wedding to the lovely Paula Where has the year gone?! Looking forward to many more years that have been as happy as this one (William)
November 29th 2013
We just made it to Crawfordsburn Country Park and Beach in time before we lost the light for Sara & Keiths shoot. Though along that coastline the really are some amazing sunsets and managed to get a really lovely sky that evening to set the romantic tone.
November 25th 2013
Anna was rocking a pair of Converse as she had broken her foot a few days before the big day! (Declan also managed to damage his foot a few days before!) But she got a pair the same colour as the Bridesmaids and after a great Service, it was off to Belfast Castle for their reception. I took it easy on her and didn't have her doing the usual commando rolls across the lawn :)
November 12th 2013
What a fantastic day spent with a fantastic couple at Betty and Stephen's big day. It was off to the Clarion Hotel Carrickfergus with a nip across to Carrick Castle and Harbour, inbetween for some photos where poor Betty almost had her head blew off with the wind! But nothing an ice cream from the poke van couldn't sort out :)
November 11th 2013
Another great PPANI seminar this month held at The Mac Belfast with Catherine Connor. It was a really informative day and I took away a lot of great advice. Looking forward to an evening with Ronnie Calvert
